Ms. Bernstein is passionate about helping migrants navigate through our nation’s confusing immigration system. She is a staunch advocate for individuals who have faced tremendous hardship in their home country, who now seek a better life in the United States. Ms. Bernstein is a graduate of Rutgers School of Law (2006), and is admitted to both the New York and New Jersey bar. She has nearly two decades of experience in immigration law related matters, and is capable of handling the most complex cases.
In addition to years of employment as a private practitioner, her past work experience also includes time with the Federal Public Defender’s Office, Department of Justice, and New York Court of Appeal.
As a native of Los Angeles, Ms. Bernstein also received her Master’s Degree in Anthropology from University of Southern California, and her Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting and Finance from Syracuse University.
Ms. Bernstein is fluent in Spanish, and a champion of animal rights, which is consistent with her passion to stand up for those who cannot effectively speak for themselves. She lives in Sacramento, CA with her wife, two dogs, and three cats.
